In response to surveys, studies and conversations with members of the congregation and people in our community about preferred worship times, we are changing our schedule from last year. Please note that worship will now be at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. - two services from which to choose. As always, the Middle Community Hour will feature programs for adults and structured playtime for chidlren preschool through sixth grade. The opportunities for adults are: Adult Enrichment presentation and conversation on a contemporary theme. Family Track for parents, Bible Study for adults and an unstructured space for those who wish to simply chat and have coffee. 

Have you ever heard someone say, "There must be more to life than meets the eye." Perhaps you've said it yourself. It's as if there were a treasure somewhere out there if only we knew where to look. But as one author says, "The reason so many of us cannot see the red X that marks the spot is because we are standing on it. The treasure we seek requires no lengthy expedition, no expensive equipment, no superior aptitude."

All we need for this trasure hunt is to simply be where we are now - we go to the grocery store, help our children with their homework, read a good book, enjoy the company of friends, help those in need, and belong to a church where truth is spoken and minstry is shared.

Our theme this fall centers on practices. The word itself suggests activity. And each week we will focus on something tangible like walking, wrestling, money or washing dishes. We explore how such activities can become portals to the divine. In so doing, we may connect more deeply our material selves with the Spirit that is surely within us and around us.
