Bylaw Review Update as of September 2, 2015

The Bylaw Review Committee has undertaken the Herculean task over the past sixteen months of combing through our existing Bylaws and making suggestions and recommendations for possible amendments. And we are all grateful for this important work! The Executive Council has postponed the September 13 Congregational Meeting in order to receive additional comments from the congregation and allow for further discussion by the Executive Council. You are encouraged to review the working draft and provide your suggestions, in writing if possible. A “Bylaw Review” box is on the Church’s Website, and written responses will be posted for everyone to read and prayerfully consider. Please leave any “hard copy” written comments in Marcia Wilcox’s box in the Church Office. Your input is appreciated!

Bylaw Review Update as of August 2015

The Bylaw Review Committee has undertaken the Herculean task over the past sixteen months of combing through our existing Bylaws and making suggestions and recommendations for possible amendments. The Committee has conducted congregational conversations over the past few weeks about a draft set of revised amendments. All are grateful for this important and difficult work! Thank you to all who participated in the congregational conversations and otherwise provided input to the Committee and the Executive Council. At the Executive Council meeting held on August 17, it was unanimously decided that the Congregational Meeting next month about which you may have heard should be postponed in order to allow for additional comment from the Congregation and further discussion by the Executive Council. You are encouraged to review the working draft prepared by the Committee and provide your reactions and suggestion in writing, if possible, in order to allow all to share and consider your responses and ideas. A “Bylaw Review” box is on the Church’s website, and written responses (identified or anonymous, your choice) will be posted for all to read and prayerfully consider. Please leave any “hard copy” written comments in Marcia Wilcox’s box in the Church Office.  Your input is appreciated!
