All-Church Events

Throughout the year our congregation gathers as a multigenerational community to fellowship and learn faith together.

Homecoming Sunday: On the first Sunday after Labor Day, the congregation gathers back at Church after a summer of traveling. We start our new Fall worship schedule where we will worship together in the Sanctuary at 10:00am and then gather for fellowship in the Fireside Room and Upper Deck for fellowship. Starting on Sunday, September 13 Adult Faith Formation will be offered at 9:00am. It is a time to celebrate “coming home!”

A Day at La Foret: The whole church is invited to spend a day at La Foret, our UCC conference and retreat center. We gather to fellowship, break bread, play games, hike and worship in nature.

Advent Workshop and cookie decorating: This year on Sunday, December 6, 2015, the First Sunday in Advent. Families (or households) are invited to create an at-home Advent ritual. This might be an Advent Wreath, nativity scene or calendar to help guide families through Advent and learn faith in the home. Cookie decorating and hot cocoa following the workshop!

Mardi Gras Celebration: This year on Sunday, February 7, 2016. The Sunday before Ash Wednesday, the congregation gathers after the first worship service in Otto Fellowship Hall for pancakes and bacon brunch with a Kings Cake, beads, masks and merriment.

Ash Wednesday simple supper and multigenerational worship. Wednesday, February 10, All are invited to a simple supper and worship with the institution of ashes, Holy communion, children’s choir performance and the ritual of hiding the “Alleluia” banner!

Lenten Workshop: First Sunday in Lent. Families (or households) are invited to create an at-home Lenten ritual. This might be a Lenten wreath, Lenten garden or prayer shawl to help guide families through Lent and learn faith in home.

Easter Sunday Potluck Brunch and Egg Hunt: This year on Sunday, March 27, 2016 after worship on Easter Sunday. A;ll children are invited to our huge Easter Egg hunt in our Meditation Glen. More than 500 eggs are hidden throughout our grounds. All the children of the church, their friends and family members are welcome to join the hunt. A brunch follows the hunt in Otto Fellowship Hall.
