Planned Giving: Broadmoor Community Church Foundation

The Broadmoor Community Church Foundation is committed to supporting the work and ministry of Broadmoor Community Church. The church's Purpose Statement ("Broadmoor Church is a community of faith where people experience God's love and demonstrate that love in their daily lives") is the framework used by the Foundation for evaluating and making grants.

Foundation grants have supported mission trips, children's summer music camps, scholarships and church facility improvements. They have provided short-term operating income for Christian ministries in the community, as well as start-up monies for all-church retreats promoting fellowship within the church family. Funds have helped to pay for upgrades to the church phone, computer and audio-visual systems. The Foundation has also supported major capital campaigns at Broadmoor Church.

Principles of the Broadmoor Community Church Foundation

Gifts made to the Foundation are a lasting gift...
The Broadmoor Community Church Foundation hopes to continue putting gifts into an endowment fund, from which only investment earnings are spent. This means gifts can be a means of supporting the work and ministry of Broadmoor Church for many years to come.

Donors can leave a legacy through designated gifts...
Gifts to the Foundation may be designated for ministries that hold special interest for donors. Focused gifts such as these inform generations to come of passions for present and future ministries.

Designated gifts may be made to four basic funds of the Foundation's endowment:

Spurgeon Trust (for maintenance of the church's building and grounds)
Program Fund (for specific programs of Broadmoor Community Church)
Mission & Outreach Fund (for special projects recommended by the Board of
Missions and approved by the Foundation Board of Directors)
General Fund (for purposes determined by the Foundation Board of Directors)

Professional investment management...
The endowment fund is invested and managed professionally. The Foundation Board of Directors performs a complete review of fund performance annually.

Giving to the Broadmoor Community Church Foundation

Donors to the Foundation are vital to Broadmoor Community Church. Donor gifts help support ministries within the church and in our community. They support programs or projects not covered by the church's operating budget, as well as maintenance and improvement of the campus. Gifts perpetuate the memory and commitment of loved ones who have made a difference in the gift donor's life. And they provide a solid financial foundation for future generations.

The Foundation is able to receive a wide range of charitable contributions, including:
    Cash and Securities
    Bequests by Will
    Retirement Plan Assets
    Life Insurance
    Income Producing Plans
    Charitable Lead and Remainder Trusts

All gifts to the Broadmoor Community Church Foundation are charitable contributions and tax-deductible in accordance with federal and Colorado tax laws. Donors are encouraged to consult an attorney or financial advisor before completing arrangements for gifts to the Foundation.
